Welcome to Amagansett Golf Club

Nestled in the oceanside village of Amagansett and surrounded by nature preserves lies Amagansett Golf Club. Founded in 1921 as a nine-hole golf course and expanded to eighteen holes in 2000 by the renowned golf architect Gil Hanse, AGC offers a challenging and enjoyable golf experience. Our charming clubhouse, with its lovely view of the front nine, provides the perfect complement to your golfing experience. The devoted and skilled team at Amagansett Golf Club is dedicated to delivering an extraordinary golfing, dining, and clubhouse experience for Members and their guests.

Appropriate golfing attire is required for all Members and their guests, whether at the clubhouse, practice area or golf course.

Acceptable clothing includes slacks, Bermuda shorts, golf skirts, rain suits, shirts with collars and mock shirts or sweaters. Ladies may wear round or oval neck shirts. Men’s and women’s golf slacks, skirts, or shorts are to be of conservative tailoring and at least 17 inches in length or cut no more than 4 inches above the knee.

Jeans may not be worn on the golf course, although neat jeans (no holes/unfinished bottoms, etc.) are still welcome in the dining room.

Members and guests are required to keep their shirts tucked in. Shirts designed to remain untucked may be worn as such in the dining room only.

Unacceptable clothing includes but is not limited to T-shirts, tank tops, numerical sports jerseys, cut-off shorts, short shorts, swim wear, cargo pants, cargo shorts, sweat suits, work out, jogging or tennis apparel. While yoga pants, gym attire and other casual wear may not be worn on the golf course or in the dining room, it’s fine to wear such clothes when taking out food or picking up your golf clubs.

Golf caps must be worn with the bill forward.

Gentlemen must remove their caps or hats in the clubhouse. Women may wear caps or hats in the clubhouse.

Only soft spikes are allowed in the clubhouse and on the course.

Children eight (8) years of age or older are required to comply with the dress policy.

We expect all groups to complete their front nine play in under two hours and a full round in less than 4 hours. Any group that exceeds the two-hour limit on the front nine or the four-hour limit for a full round will be notified and everyone in the group may be given a slow play warning.

Thank you for your cooperation, as always, the professional Golf Staff is here to help you in anyway.
